Travel Photos

Prague Clock 1999There is a clock in the main city square of Prague that is very popular.  I think you can see why. I love Prague it is so beautiful in its old sections and in its so awful in the architecture that being built in the 1950s to the 1970s. I hope to redo my travel pages to show more images and to show all my trips. Travel has been so great and not something that I expected to happen to me. Mitch was the impetus to travel and we have. We have been to Europe, Australia, Thailand, and China.

“One day, quite some time ago, I happened on a photograph of Napoleon’s youngest brother, Jerome, taken in 1852. And I realized then, with an amazement I have not been able to lessen since: ‘I am looking at eyes that looked at the Emperor.’ Sometimes I would mention this amazement, but since no one seemed to share it, nor even to understand it (life consists of these little touches of solitude), I forgot about it.”
― Roland Barthes, Camera Lucida: Reflections on Photography

“…if you are not like everybody else, then you are abnormal, if you are abnormal , then you are sick. These three categories, not being like everybody else, not being normal and being sick are in fact very different but have been reduced to the same thing”
― Michel Foucault
